The Fidragon Bipod Foregrip is a combination of foregrip with an extendable bipod. Although the bipod is meant for stability of sniper rifles and heavy automatic weapons, having one in the foregrip allows you to use a bipod even on a regular assault rifle. In this article, we will review this bipod foregrip.
We got the Fidragon Bipod Foregrip on sale for about $5 on Airsoft Megastore, which sell it as the "Rapid Deploy M249 Bipod Foregrip w/ 20mm Weaver Mount - TAN" (see "Related Links" below). We were amazed with the quality of it for a measly five bucks.
The Fidragon Bipod Foregrip comes in a rather simple plastic packaging (see photo below). It's apparent that the foregrip speaks for itself, because there is no instruction or drawings related to it.
It is a simple device. We have no trouble getting started with using it.
The Fidragon Bipod Foregrip is made of plastic, but it feels extremely high quality. It is also very sturdy. It almost feels like it is a solid piece of plastic, because there is no bending and it is fairly weighted. It feels extremely assuring on and off the airsoft gun.
The grip is quite comfortable. On long guns, where the front is fairly heavy, this foregrip feels right at home.
The Fidragon Bipod Foregrip is designed to attach to Picatinny rails. Therefore, your airsoft gun needs to have rails on the bottom of the gun. A thumbscrew (see photo below) is included so that you can conveniently attach it or remove it from your airsoft gun without any tools.
The Picatinny mount is extremely sturdy. Once attached securely, there are no wobble nor play. The mount design is also excellent, because the screw is long enough where you can easily attach or remove the foregrip without the screw and bracket falling out of place.
The following photo shows the bipod release button. Pushing it causes the bipod to snap downward and spring open. It's a satisfying feeling, but could be a tad noisy if you are trying to be stealthy like a sniper.
We suggest you mount the foregrip with the button toward the back of the gun. That way you can use your thumb tip to release the bipod.
The Fidragon Bipod Foregrip works really well. It is extremely sturdy. When mounted to a full metal picatinny rail, it does not wobble at all. There is a lot of confidence holding it. On a sniper rifle that is front heavy, the foregrip redistribute the rifle weight, so that you can carry it without fatigue.
In the photo below, we have attached the Fidragon Bipod Foregrip to a M4. It is camouflaged under the Mossy Oak Burlap Camouflage.
In the photo below, you can see that we have mounted it to our VSS Vintorez airsoft gun using the Airsoft3D VSS Barrel Picatinny Rails.
