The HDE Tactical Red Dot Laser Sight is a 655 NM red laser sight. It's in a typical tube laser form-factor that is suitable for both handguns and rifles. It is available for about $11 shipped on Amazon (see "Related Links" below). In this article, we are going to closely examine this laser sight.
The HDE Tactical Red Dot Laser Sight comes in a white cardboard box that is typical of an oversea OEM product. Except this white box has "Sniper" stamp on it (see photo below).
It seems that the "Sniper" indicates an OEM brand. It's kinda hard imagining an actual sniper using a red dot sight.
The white cardboard box includes the following items: laser sight, Picatinny mount bracket, remote switch, three batteries, three hex wrenches, and instruction manual.
Much like other tube-based laser sights, the HDE Tactical Red Dot Laser Sight uses three AG13 button batteries as shown in the photo below. The batteries are inserted via the back of the laser, under the power button screw cap.
This laser sight provides clear indication of the battery orientation on the laser sight tube (see photo below).
The HDE Tactical Red Dot Laser Sight is made out of metal. It feels extremely sturdy and strong.
There are two adjustment screws at the front (see photo above) for elevation and windage adjustments. The adjustment is quite intuitive; clockwise causes the screw to tighter, therefore, pushes the laser in that direction. Counter-clockwise moves the laser in the other direction. The adjustment screws uses the smallest hex wrench that is included in the package.
