Here are some tips on how to keep your AEG in running order.
First and foremost, disassemble your AEG completely and clean all visible dirt and grime with a microfiber cloth. Once you have cleaned all the visible dirt, it is time to focus on the inner parts of your AEG. Using a cleaning rod and a patch, apply some cleaning solvent on the patch and insert it into the barrel. Run the cleaning rod through the barrel a few times to remove all the dirt and grime. Wipe the cleaning rod with a clean patch after each stroke. Do this until the patch comes out clean.
Then it's time to work on the AEG gearbox. To clean the gears, apply some cleaning solvent on a toothbrush and scrub the teeth of the gears. Make sure to get in between the teeth as well. Once you are done, apply a few drops of silicone. Apply a few drops of silicone oil on the piston head as well.
It is also a good idea to clean your hop-up unit and apply some silicone oil on the rubber.
