Airsoft speed loader helps you load MilSim no-winding magazine fast. Because the only way to load a no-winding magazine is thought the magazine feed. And it's very time consuming and difficult to load by hand. With the speed load, you push it into the magazine feed, and pump the speed loader to inject BB's into the magazine.
A few days ago, I picked the Matrix 6mm BB Speed Loader in order to have a spare to the one I got as part of the Cyma CM.023 package. The fact is that if your only speed loader breaks during a game, you are out of luck the rest of the day.
The Matrix 6mm BB Speed Loader comes in a simple plastic/cardboard package as shown in the photo above. There is no instructions that comes with the speed loader, so it depends on tribal knowledge to know to how use it to load your magazines.
Out of the package, the injection handle was locked into the speed loader. When I unlocked it, the injection handle was still stuck in the down position. It took a bit a pull to pop it out. But every time I inject, the handle got stuck in the down position. It wasn't until I used it a bit to load three magazines until the lock had worn away.
For comparison, the Cyma version of the speed loader) worked without any problem right out of the CM.023 box. So it was surprising to me the Matrix version didn't work smoothly until it's broken in. On the other hand, the CM.023 is a MP5, therefore, the Cyma Speed Loader did not come with an adapter for pistol loading.
The Matrix Speed Loader comes with an adapter for loading pistol magazines quickly (see photo below). For rifle magazines, you don't need to use the adapter.
It's not very intuitive how to load the pistol magazines. The photo below shows you how to load the pistol magazine with the adapter.
Once the Matrix Speed Loader is broken in, it works beautifully. The adapter works just fine with the pistol magazines. So the only down side is that you have to break it in, in order to use it. And that requires a small amount of patience.
