"The Patriot" in the Metal Gear video game franchise is an awesome M4 pistol. The APS ASR106 Mini Patriot M4 is basically a replica of it. It's only missing a few parts. The ASR106 comes with M4 magazine, rather than the drum magazine. The Patriot has a M16 carrying handle, rather than iron sights. The patriot has handguards. It is easy to convert the ASR106 into "The Patriot". You just need a few parts. This article will show you how.
First, you'll need an M4 airsoft gun that resembles "The Patriot". The APS ASR106 Mini Patriot M4 is a good fit. But it has recently been rebranded as the Black Ops Full Metal M4 Cobra. This airsoft electronic gun (AEG) is full metal, small, and competitive. It's the perfect weapon for a CQB airsoft arena.
This Magpul handguard panel is made out of semi-rubbery material. It attaches to the Picatinny weaver rail. It "offers improved firearm control and rail protection". You can easily cut it for custom length to make the ASR106 look like "The Patriot".
The M16 carrying handle is available for Picatinny Weaver rail. Get one of these carrying handle and mount it to the top rail of the ASR106 for "The Patriot" look. It'll also make your "The Patriot" video game airsoft gun a lot easier to carry with the big drum magazine that you'll get below.
"The Patriot" in the game is quite formidable. It provides an extremely high ammo cap. Its width is almost as long as the M4 pistol. The airsoft version of the drum carries 3000 rounds more than enough for most airsoft games, even if you take on the support role.
