Almost two weeks ago, I went to the Insight Interactive indoor Airsoft field in Rancho Cucamonga, California. A very accurate opponent was able to hit my exposed fingers, wearing Saranac Rip II Gloves, from across the field. The welts lasted a week and a half. I decided that I am a wuss and no longer want to expose my fingers. So I ordered the Matrix Terminator CQB Combat Tactical Full Finger Gloves (medium size, black color) from Evike. It arrived as shown in the photo below.
As you can see, they showed up on my doorstep as Valken Tactical Gloves. They looked just like the photos on Evike's site. So I'm guessing the gloves are the same, but the branding are different.
The back of the gloves are layered with plastic armor (see photo below). A bit of spacing is provided to cushion the BB's from the inner layer. Almost the entire back hand is covered.
The inside of the hand is also thickened with suede fabric. It seems that it can handle the BB's when you try to raise your hand to call yourself out.
Because of the thick fabric, these gloves makes your hand very big. Trying it with a M4 rifle, I found that the index finger fills the trigger well. Sometimes the layered fabric at the finger tip will catch on the trigger well. But at no time did that prevent the finger from entering the trigger well to pull the trigger.
The gloves have long velcro straps that wraps around the gloves and your wrist. Once strapped in, the gloves will stay on your hands until you unfasten the straps.
One side-effect of full finger gloves is that it is difficult to adjust your other apparel and tactical gears. But that is the sacrifice you have to make to feel less pain.
Tried these gloves at an indoor CQB arena. They worked beautifully as I didn't feel any pain at all in my hands. Had no problem playing MilSim and changing 30 round magazines using the Magpul Ranger Plates. It did take a little use to being proficient with the gloves. And I didn't actually have to adjust anything during the rounds. Overall, very happy with these full finger gloves.
