Neoprene face masks are inexpensive face protection for Airsoft and Paintball matches. They also comes in a variety of patterns that helps deck out your apparel. You can get woodland camouflage, urban camouflage, or some other design patterns, like skull and joker. The photo below shows an example of a cobra neoprene mask.
The neoprene face mask is about 1/4" thick and conforms to your face. You wrap it around your face and fix it in place with velcro at the back of the head. A hole at the nose area allows you to breath. Smaller holes around the mouth allows your voice to path through. Large opening around the eyes allows you to use a certified airsoft/paintball goggle.
In our experience, the neoprene face mask is padded enough to prevent any airsoft pain in an indoor CQB arena, where the FPS is limited to 365. In addition, the neoprene mask soaks up sweat, but drys during the break.
The neoprene face mask is soft and conforms to your face. Therefore, it doesn't get in the way of using your aiming sights, unlike hard airsoft/paintball masks. You can reset your cheek on the shoulder stock with a neoprene mask.
However, check to ensure that the neoprene mask is allowed on your airsoft/paintball field. They are not acceptable on every field.
