The NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight with a 1" scope ring riser. In this article, we review it for airsoft purpose.
The packaging for the NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight is very well designed (see photo below). The logo and text are well thought out, giving it a huntsman tone. A photo of the scope is on the side of the box.
The content includes the scope itself, front and rear transparent protectors, the 1" riser mount, instruction manual, and extra battery (see photo below). A battery is already pre-installed in the scope.
The NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight uses a single 2032 lithium button battery. The battery is under the brightness knob cover. You can use a coin to unscrew it (see photo below).
The NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight is on a 1" cantilever scope ring, which eliminates the need for riser on many guns. It supports the Picatinny weaver mount. Its bolt takes up only a single slot, therefore, it will work on virtually any Picatinny weaver rail. You can easily attach and detach the red dot scope from your airsoft gun using two thumbscrews.
In the photo below, you can clearly see that the 1" cantilever riser mount makes the NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight a perfect match to the Avengers Tactical 3X Magnifier Scope.

The scope ring has a standard 1" diameter. There are four hex screws on top, allowing you to rotate the scope or remove it altogether. You can, therefore, use this cantilever scope ring on a different scope or other accessories.
The NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight has both elevation and windage adjustment (see photo below). The adjustment knob on top of the scope allows you to adjust the elevation. The adjustment knob on the side of the scope allows you to adjust windage.
The NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight comes with two transparent protective cover (see photo below). They are flip-up covers, therefore, you can flip them up during target practice for clear vision. But if you play airsoft, these transparent protector will protect this scope from BB's.

The 30mm objective lens is already somewhat small. The large border of the protective transparent protection gives the scope even smaller angle of view. In addition, the transparent protection decreases image quality due to their non-uniformity. Nevertheless, they are good protectors for airsoft BB's. I have used this scope on the airsoft field numerous times and they have protected the scope well.
As its name implies, this scope has both red and green dot. Both are set via the brightness adjustment knob. The knob is divided into two sides (see photo below). One side turns on the red dot, the other side turns on the green dot. Each color has four levels of brightness. Position 0 is off. Position 1 is the dimmest setting and position 4 is the brightest setting. I have no problem leaving this scope on for an entire night of airsoft. It doesn't seem to eat up too much battery power.
The front lens element of the NcSTAR 30mm Tactical Cantilever Red and Green Dot Sight is coated to filter out the red/green spectrum in the environment. That way, the red and green dot will stand out clearly when you use the scope during daylight.
