As mentioned in our D-Boys BI-09 PEQ-2 Battery Box Review, adding a real laser sight into the D-Boys BI-09 PEQ-2 Battery Box would be really neat. In this article we are going to show you how we did just that. That's right, we had the cake and ate it, too.
The D-Boys BI-09 PEQ-2 Battery Box dummy laser ports already have transparent windows (see below). That's a real plus, because now we just have to find the laser sight that would fit into one of those two ports.
We tried a number of different laser sights--CenterPoint Tactical Universal Laser and Flashlight Kit, Gamo 650NM Red Laser Sight. In the end, the one that easily fits without major modifications is the Swiss Arms Laser and Mount (see photo below). It's probably the worst laser sight in the world. But it does may this project successful.

The Swiss Arms Laser (after removing it from its mount), is a perfect fit into the larger dummy window. We used white glue to fix it in place.
The battery pack is extremely heavy, so it will knock the laser sight out of place while moving around inside the battery box. The solution to this problem is to separate the laser sight compartment from the battery compartment. It can be done easily with a simple cardboard.
We took the cardboard packaging from one of the laser sights, ripped it to the right size, and folded into thirds (see photo below). We chose this particular cardboard packaging because it is exactly the same length as the battery box.
We slide it into the battery box as shown in the photo below. The length of the cardboard "legs" will prevent the battery from hitting the laser sight.
We route the laser sight remote switch around the cardboard to the wiring hole in the battery box (see photo below).
The battery wires from the AEG is routed into the battery box shown in the photo below).
The photo below shows a 8.4v battery inside the battery box, all wired up. The gun is ready to fire.
