The GXG Reversible Paintball Vest is an extremely affordable padded utility vest. It has about 1/2" of foam sewed into the front and back, protecting your chest and back from paintball and airsoft pellets. The front has four pockets for a variety of uses (see photo below). The green camouflage help you blend into the woods. The vest is adjustable on both sides. It has a zipper down front center.
The back of the vest has two more pockets. These two pockets are adjustable for longer or shorter items. In fact, you can open up the bottom to fit pistols. The pockets are on a velcro pad, so you can remove it. In the photo below, two paintball tubes are in the pockets.
The photo below demonstrates what you can fit in the front pockets. A small water bottle will keep you hydrated during the game. You can fit one paintball tube in each pocket. You can also fit around 5 to 6 MP5 magazines. The pocket also fits 2 M4/M16 magazines.
The vest is quite versatile for many activities. In fact, I might even use it when I go hiking or other outdoor activities.
It's also reversible. When you flip it inside out, you get a full black vest (see photo below). I kind of wish it would be tan camouflage, because that's the two camouflages used mostly in paintball and airsoft. In fact, many airsoft players feels that black is too black for night games, because it makes your silhouette stand out.
The black vest also has the same amount of front pockets. The back pocket panel can be moved to the back of the black vest. The only shortcoming is no utility in the chest area. But you can always sew or glue your own pouches in those areas.
Overall, this vest was a great buy and was very useful to carry paintball tubes and airsoft magazines. I took it to a paintball event at SC Village a few weeks ago. This vest was very comfortable to wear. I carried three paintball tubes in the front pockets. I carried a water bottle in the fourth front pocket. The water bottle kept me hydrated as I walked to and from the field. I never felt paintball hitting me in the chest or the back area.
