Recently intrigued by a sniper rifle shown in YouTube video titled, "Prototype Guns You have Never Heard Of!!" (See video below; 10 seconds into the video.) This gun is suppose to be the JXR-712 Full Auto Sniper. This gun is "only used by these armies in weapon demo". And it is supposedly used by Russian Soviet Sniper Regiment (RSSR). But that is peculiar, because it looks like a M4 (an American rifle) with a carbine stock and barrel with a long silencer. But no amount of Internet searching would reveal this JXR-712 as in existence anywhere in the world.
After visiting the "Pimp My Gun" web site and reading everyone's YouTube comments, calling it a fake, it seems pretty obvious that this gun came out of someone's imagination. It is a nice hoax. After re-reading the title of the video, it's pretty obvious that the author hasn't lied. In fact, he made it pretty clear that no one has ever seen these guns before (because they don't exist). But he did lie about these gun being demonstrated by various armies.
Nevertheless, when I first saw the JXR-712 Full Auto Sniper, in the video, the first thing I thought was that it is a easy airsoft rifle to build from scratch. M4 airsoft parts are extremely common and are stocked by every airsoft retailer. Externally, you only need a M4 receiver, a M4 stock, a quad rail, a outer barrel, a silencer, a M16 magazine, and a scope. It would be fun to build this gun out of spare parts, bone yard components, or inexpensive blowout clearance items. You will end up with a custom full auto sniper rifle really doesn't exist anywhere, except in your hands.
