Want to make your #airsoft #M4 different from every other M4 on the field? Use the Angel Custom AP10 Enhanced Magazine Adapter. It allows you to use MP5 magazines in your M4 airsoft electronic gun (AEG). In additional to simply changing the look of a M4, this adapter also serves practical purposes. If you take a M4 and a MP5 to the field, instead of bringing two sets of magazines, you only have to bring MP5 magazines and this adapter. In this article, we are going to examine the adapter with our M4 and MP5 magazines.
The Angel Custom AP10 Enhanced Magazine Adapter comes in a compact cardboard box (see photo below). It's well design in both the graphics art department and its physical shape and size. It fits the adapter just right. Opening the box doesn't damage its flaps, so I am able to reuse the box when I'm not using the adapter.
The features of the adapter is listed on the side of the box as shown in the photo below.
The box claims compatibility with G&P, G&G, King Arms, and JG M4 AEG. It will also work with KWA M4, but requires slight modification.
The instruction to modify the adapter for KWA M4 is printed on the back of the box (see photo below). You have to slice off a few notches.
In this article, we are going to test this adapter with APS M4 receivers and some MP5 magazines.
Before we try it with a M4 and a MP5 magazine, let's take a look at the Angel Custom AP10 Enhanced Magazine Adapter.
The magazine adapter is made out of hard ABS plastic (see photo below). It feels very sturdy and robust.
Rather than molded out of one piece material, it comprises of several pieces that are screwed together using hex screws (see photo below). The magazine lock is made out of metal articulated mechanism. This craftsmanship provides a smooth-moving magazine release.
The top of the magazine is really simple. Notice that it doesn't have a BB release latch in the photo below.
The photo below shows the MP5 interface to this adapter.
The magazine adapter works without any problems. As youcan see in the photo below, the MP5 magazine fits just right in the magazine adapter.
The magazine adapter fits in the M4 magwell snug and fine. But depending on the width of the M4 magwell, the extra space allows the MP5 magazine to wiggle left and right. But so far, the magazine has stayed in the adapter without any failures.
