The Airsoft3D Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher is a science fiction airsoft grenade launcher. It is not a replica of any existing real firearm. However, it fires airsoft BB in the same M203 manner using 40mm grenade shells (sold separately). The single shot loading system gives the operator the flexibility to quickly react in a dynamic environment. The operator has the control to make the decision and load the appropriate airsoft 40mm grenade round for that threat. Simply unlock the airsoft grenade shell, slide it out, and load the suitable round.

Altering the coloration or markings required by state or federal law or regulations so as to make this product look more like a firearm is dangerous, and may be a crime. This instruction applies to the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher and its firing of the green gas 40mm airsoft grenade shell. Please refer to the 40mm grenade shell instruction for the charging, filling, and the maintenance of the shell. This product has only been tested with green gas airsoft grenade shells. It may not be suitable for CO2 airsoft grenade shells.
There are three versions of the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher. Only the barrel length differs between the three versions--short, full length, and long. With the short version, the 40mm grenade shell is exposed, giving you a very unique look. The full length version covers the entire length of most grenade shells, giving you a futuristic look but still provides weapon maneuverability. The long version has a barrel that is longer than the length of the grenade shell. Choose the version that is appropriate for your application.
The Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher is compatible with Picatinny tactical rail. It is designed to meet the MIL-STD-1913 and STANAG 2324 standards. Therefore, it should be able to mount to any airsoft gun or paintball marker that has a standard Picatinny rail.
If your airsoft gun or paintball marker does not have Picatinny rail, it is highly likely there is a Picatinny rail accessory that you can purchase and install on your equipment.
Before you can install the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher to your airsoft rifle, you will need to acquire two #6x1.25" screws and nuts (sold separately). You can acquire the screws and nuts at your local home improvement store (e.g. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)
Installation is very similar to other Picatinny accessory. However, the Picatinny mount on the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Shotgun is one piece, therefore, you will need to slide it onto a Picatinny rail. In order to do so, you'll have to remove the screw first, slide the underbarrel shotgun onto the rail, then fasten the screw and nut. The photo above shows you an example cross-section of how the mount fastens to the Picatinny rail.
WARNING
Do not load a real grenade shell into the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher. The Helio M7203 is designed for airsoft use only. It is not designed to fire a real 40mm grenade shell.
Loading the grenade shell into the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher is easy. Load it through the rear of the Helio M7203, by flipping the firing button away and inserting an airsoft 40mm grenade shell straight in. Then let the firing button drop and you are ready to fire the airsoft grenade shell.
Once the grenade shell is loaded, the shell may be activated by pushing the firing button (at the rear of the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher). The firing button has a push pin on the other side to activate the shell. When firing the shell, be sure to push firmly and quickly so that the full power of the gas can be applied to the airsoft BBs. However, do not push it so hard that you break the Helio M7203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher off the tactical rail.
Once the grenade shell has been fired, it is spent. You can remove the grenade shell by putting a finger under the shotshell lip, push the locking latch down with your thumb, then pull the grenade shell out with the finger tip that is under the grenade shell lip. With just a little bit of practice, the grenade shell can be removed very quickly.
You may mount the Helio M7203 to the under-barrel of an airsoft pistol; especially with the short version. However, there will not be enough room to remove and insert the 40mm grenade shell as shown in the photo below. Luckily, here are several tricks to use a 40mm grenade shell on your airsoft pistol without having to remove the Helio M7203 to reset and charge the grenade shell.
First of all, use a grenade shell that self-resets, such as the UFC HEDP M433 Type 120rd Airsoft 40mm Gas Grenade Shell used in our photos. ("Related Links" below provide direct links to where you can purchase this type of grenade shells.) Grenade shells that requires you to manually reset may require you to remove the Helio M7203 after every shot.
Second of all, use a grenade shell that has a gas charging valve on the front of the grenade. The photo below shows a 40mm grenade shell with a front charging port, in the center, surrounded by BB holes.
Note on Charging
When you charge the grenade shell, be sure to hold the grenade shell (if you have the Helio M7203 short version) or put your finger(s) behind the back of the grenade shell (if you have the Helio M7203 full length version). Holding the grenade shell or putting your finger(s) behind the grenade shell, when you charge, prevents you from potential breaking the Helio M7203 latch. The Helio M7203 long version is not recommended for airsoft pistols, because you can't charge the airsoft grenade shell.
Third of all, use a grenade shell that loads ammunition from the front.
Meeting these three criterias, you can reload the grenade shell in between battle rounds without having to remove the Helio M7203 from the airsoft pistol.
