Every so often, you break your airsoft gear. Or maybe you want to make it better. And you may need some help along the way. For example, maybe you broke the lip on your P226 magazine (see photo below) during a speed reload.
In this article we take a look at the P226 gas blowback (GBB) magazine. We take it apart and show you the disassembly steps. That way, you can service your own P226 GBB magazine when the time comes. This article applies to WE F226 magazine, KJW P226 magazine, and Shun Yang Toys P226 magazine.
The top of the P226 GBB magazine is secured in place with a pin (see photo below). To remove the top component, you have to tap out the pin with a punch and a rubber mallet.
After removing the pin, you can remove the plastic lip (see photo below), which also holds the rubber seal. Be careful when you remove the plastic lip, because it also holds the spring in place.
