There are some airsoft magazines that doesn't have BB release latchs--yah... surprising, isn't it? For example, my MP5 metal mid-cap magazines don't have any. So that means after an airsoft battle, your BB's are trapped in those magazines. Of course, you can use a small screwdriver to pry the latch. But, then, you'll be doing the monkeys trying not to let the BB's hit your face. Have no fear, you can make a speed unloader quite easily. And this article will show you how.

Don't believe us that some magazines don't have the release latch? See our "J&C Automatic Electronic Gun MP5 Metal Mid-Cap Magazine Review" article.
First of all, you have to have a speedloader (like one in the photo above). If you have a broken speedloader, then perfect. Otherwise, a speedloader is only a few bucks, so it won't break your bank if you hack one into a speed unloader.
Once you have the speedloader that you want to hack, unscrew all the screws to take it apart (see photo above). You'll gut out most of the internals.
First, the push rod and spring has to go. You won't be using this speed unloader for speed loading again. Next, the push rod lock toggle switch should go. Although it doesn't hurt to leave it, it's just one extra thing to get in the way later.
Finally, remove the anti-reversal latch (see photo above). That's the angled leverage plastic that keeps the BB's from coming back into the speedloader while speed loading. Remove both the latch and the spring.
On some speedloaders, there is an O-ring around the mouth of the speedloader. That O-ring has to go as well as it keeps the BB from coming back into the speed loader.
Keep the rotating door at the top of the speedloader, that door keeps the BB in the speed unloader when you unload. That way, you won't have to worry about the BB spraying you in the face or spilling all over the place. After unloading with the speed unloader, you can dump all the unloaded BB's back into your BB container for the next battle.
