"Remember to post [on Facebook] what team you are going as and whether or not you want a meal ticket for 10$ hot pasta and a cookie, THIS IS YOUR REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT!" - 9/3 11:14pm
At "abandoned, unincoporated federal prison complex in the mojave desert with condemned buildings and decommissioned prison blocks". The actual coordinate of the location is 35.079093, -117.579830
"Alright, so there has been a lot of questions and concerns raised about the legality of this event, and I want you all to know I have put forth my most diligent efforts in legitimizing this event in every way possible, I have talked to the BLM, FAA, Kern County and San Bernardino County Assessors about land rights and zoning, SBSD: Barstow and Baker post and left a message for the Watch Commander that we will be out there, I'll put in a call the day before and day of as well to make sure we don't have any issues, as per recommended to my by the deputy who assisted me. The facility is littered with bullet holes and spent casings so sound [should] not be an issue, but there are to be NO REAL FIREARMS, there's a whole desert for that, we don't need any issues playing pew pew. THERE IS A STILL ACTIVE PORTION OF THE BASE, The enormous radar tower that looms over us is still in use, and is completely out of bounds, even for just "taking a peek" the entire hill is out of play and only the lower portion is permitted for parking, there should be no one past the old tank factory." - 9/8 2:10pm
Please see the waiver posted on the Facebook page above at 9/8 7:31pm. Please read, print, and sign the waiver.
"Alright so here a gameplay map for the AO, X marks where initial spawns will be GREEN is for Rebels, Red is PMC, Blue is coalition, (will be voted on pending attendance day of) white squares are approximate locations of Respawn points, colored square is a basic prediction of who will end up with what." - 9/10 1:12am
"We are going to have 3 teams fighting over control of 3 hostages. rebels (Green based full uniforms, with multicam) coalition (tan based full uniforms, with ACU) PMC (Contractor and misatched camos, with kryptec and proj honor) Each team will have 1 hostage, each hostage will have the location of an objective. There will be 6 respawn points on the map each placed between 350-500 feet from each other so taking a respawn doesnt put you out of the fight and we will also have a medic rule in effect, 2 medic per life, one WHITE band on each arm. then you have to take a respawn. sub-Objectives are not officalized yet but we're thinking a bomb, and some other goodies." - 9/2 1:50pm
"This is the important part, SO LISTEN UP. TAN AND GREEN WILL BE COMBINED!!!! REBELS VS PMC! if there are ANY issues with this then EVERYONE gets colored bands! respawn will be done on a 10 man squad basis with 1 SL per squad and 1 commander per team. You get hit, you sit down for 2 minutes, get up walk to your squad leader then respawn, squad leaders get hit, sit down for 3 minutes need to respawn on Team commander. team commander sits for 6 minutes, respawn at friendly c...ontrolled command point. This way you dont need to try and find your friends in the field, you just respawn on them. With that in mind well need to organize squads, squad leaders, and commanders. That means an official roster, and the official roster will be comprised solely from the comments on this post [find post through the Facebook link above]. THERE WILL BE A ROLL CALL FOR THIS ROSTER ON GAME DAY, SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON IT. I need everyone to comment their name, their team name, how many will be rolling with them (their names as well) IF you Do Not Register your squad Here YOU WILL BE SPLIT UP. Comment your name, your team/club name, Cammos and as many names of the people you are bringing. This roster closes the Thursday before game day, so make sure you and all your friends are on it!!!"
"EXCEPT FOR BEHIND A DOOR OR WALL/CORNER, sorry, that desk wasn't solid enough. THE BURB WILL BE AT THIS EVENT!! Vehicle is a... mobile Respawn point and can be CAPTURED BY ANY TEAM, thinking of having it start in no mans land. 3ft radius or direct hit by rocket disables vehicle until it is secured again. grenades DO NOT kill the Burb, only the people on the outside. Command points have 2 sets of flags, on opposing sides, raise one set to contest the building, raise the other to capture it. This prevents those BS Spawn capping moments when you're trying to breach/ getting breached. side objectives will include a bomb and a briefcase, which will be explained at Morning briefing @ 0930, CHRONO BEGINS AT 0900. any disputes will be settled at voting after morning briefing." - 9/9 1:56pm
"Alright ladies and gentlemen there's a few formalities we all need to adhere to for this event to go smoothly, we will be laying some common ground. 430 fps for rifles 500fps for snipers semi only. If your not willing to be shot by it at 20ft, dont bring it. SEMI ONLY INDOORS, cmon people, nobody wants to get lit up in the face on full auto. This includes shooting at targets outside the building from inside. No minimum engagement for gas blowback pistols, and no your kriss or mp7 is not a pistol, again, semi only indoors you g18 owners. We're all here to have fun, lets try not to spoil it for anyone." - 9/1 2:51 am
"We will not be requiring face protection but your teeth are not our responsibility, last I checked a face mask is cheaper then a dentist trip. We will however, be enforcing anzi rated eyepro, shooting glasses allowed. Once again, basic personal protective equipment (boots, and gloves are required) [everything] else is recommend." - 9/1 2:51 am
Food served will be CORNER BAKERY PASTAS AND MAC AND CHEESE. Meal tickets are $10 and every meal comes with a cookie. IF WE DO NOT GET ENOUGH PEOPLE TO POST THAT THEY WANT MEAL TICKETS, THERE WILL BE NO MEALS!!! And no cookies.
"To all of you who haven't played this AO before heres a Disclaimer: It is not a lion claws style event where u stay in a comfy hotel with a bed this is an AO for mature and strong willed individuals. Camping is a must and u need to be able to sleep in a place far less comfortable than your bed, trust me last OP Here I slept in the floor in a hangar with only my sleeping bag. This is an op for the big boys, if u want comfort dont go to this op for its not for u. This is not for the faint of heart so bring ur balls and ur bb's for your gonna need them. Boron is going to be a test of your willpower so don't go home on the first day fight till the end."
"Bring baby wipes, they help clean your hands when you eat and your ass."
"I've played at the huge boron events each year and you will want to be prepared for wind, possibly rain, and cold at night. The heat can get up to 110 with little to no humidity. Bring a sleeping bag and a couple of blankets just in case. Plenty of water, about 2-3 gallons/11 liters. You won't need that much at all but it helps just in case. I've lived in the Antelope Valley for 20 years and deserts have mood swings in regards to weather. If you are ins...ide of a building at the AO, bring a broom. I've camped in rat shit/rusty nails/broken glass before there and brooms are like 8-ply toilet paper they are so amazing. Any way to get warm food into your system is great. Portable stove, BBQ (Someone brings a huge BBQ grill every year), MREs, whatever works. It is extra to pack in and pack out but you will appreciate it. Bring toilet paper too, every year someone wanders around asking if someone brought toilet paper because they have to shit and don't want to spare their socks. Every year the people that attend are great. I've made many friends and have had a blast every time I play at boron. You don't make much better friends than the ones you share a camping area and food with, even if you are from different groups. Don't forget to have fun Seriously bring water though, don't be a retard and be a heat casualty like in boron's operation freedom Sept 8th of 2012"
