Purchasing Evike's Box of Awesomeness (BOA) was an unique experience all by itself. 269 boxes sold within five minutes. Much like Black Friday deals, I thought it would be impossible to get a BOA. But it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. I spent some time preparing for this purchase and it worked. In this article, I will share my secrets on buying the BOA.
- Make an Early Decision. Do you know if you want the Box of Awesomeness? Look over the winning list and the chances. Decide if you want to buy it before the offer comes on sale. There will be no time for you to make a decision when the sale goes on.
- Create an Evike Account. You need an evike account to purchase airsoft items on their web site. Create an account earlier, so you aren't busy creating your account while the BOA are being bought.
- Set Your Alarm Clock. I sat my alarm clock to ring 10 minutes before the BOA went on sale. That way I'll be ready to buy when the time comes.
- Log in beforehand. Log in five minutes before the sale helps you ensure the purchase. While other people are logging in, you are already checking out. Don't log in too early, because the system will log you out
- Read user comments. Read through user comments on previous BOA offering pages. Filter through the current status and identify any usable coupon codes. At this event, Evike employee mentioned that 20% off coupon codes are not usable on the BOA, but the free shipping coupon applies.
- Ready the Ordering Page. Start your browser early and navigate to the "Daily Deals" page (if that's the page that the BOA is going to be offered). When the time comes, refresh the page to see its status. I had the browser at that page for an entire day.
- Ready the Coupon Page. Some coupons may be applicable. You may want to try them one by one when you have the BOA in cart. Having the coupon page open allows you to copy-and-paste the coupon one-by-one quickly.

Refresh Early. A person commented that the inventory came on sale early, at 6:28 PM. It paid off for him when he started refreshing the page every few seconds, starting at 6:20 PM. Don't know if any of the times is synchronized to any standard source, but it doesn't hurt to get an early start.
