Evike always creates a stir with its "Box of Awesomeness" (BOA). Its most recent edition has shipped out today. Many buyers has already posted their shipping weights (in lbs.): 17.2, 15.5, 12.6, 12.1, 14.3, 13.8, and 18.5. My own BOA weighs 13.1 lbs. But can we really figure out what our package contains based on the weight? Let's give it an analytical approach and see the results.
We already know that a BOA containing Matrix Aim top M4 and a UK Arms MP5 aeg weighs 17.2 lbs based on comments ("Airsoft Better & Airsoft Right" Package 1). That makes sense as airsoft rifles average around 7 lbs each. The "Bonus & Jack-pots" can be estimated at 1 lbs to 2 lbs max. The shipping container is probably 1 to 2 lbs max as well.
Now, let's approach from the other side... the winnings item list. This analysis does not include the custom guns where they will call you with delivery information, because we simply don't know whether they will ship you two separate boxes or one single box later. And, of course, once they call you, you'll know what you are getting without needing any analysis.
$500 Shopping Spree! Probably hardly any weight, as I am guessing that it is just a letter... 4 lbs max. This must be the lightest box.
A Custom Hi-CAPA Gas Blowback, a full metal gas grenade launcher, a piece of Lima Victor limited edition gear and a used AEG from Evike marketing office. A pistol averages 3.5 lbs. Grenade launcher... 3 to 5 lbs. AEG... 7 lbs. Don't know anything about the Lima Victor gear... 2 lbs? Add some of the fluff mentioned earlier 2 to 4 lbs. Weight range of 17.5 lbs to 21.5 lbs. This is probably the heaviest box.
"Airsoft Better & Airsoft Right" Package 2 - A Mystery Skirmish grade full metal gearbox Airsoft AEG and a full metal 1911, Hi-capa or M9 GBB Pistol by WE-Tech Subtract 3.5 lbs from 17.2 lbs and we get 13.7 lbs.
The Evike.com USA Exclusive MG42 Airsoft AEG Machine Gun by Matrix. This is a heavy gun, weighing at 15.65 lbs. The weight range of this box would be 17.65 lbs to 19.65 lbs. This is probably the second most heaviest box.
FN Licensed FN-57 Airsoft Gas Blowback by Marushin + An skirmish grade mystery full size metal gearbox AEG! This should weight about the same as the "Airsoft Better & Airsoft Right" Package 2, which is 13.7 lbs.
CAA Roni P226 Carbine Airsoft GBB SMG Pistol - Dark Earth. The pistol averages 3.5 lbs. The CAA Roni 0.42 lbs (190 g). The box should be in the range of 6 to 8 lbs.
WE Barry Burton custom Bio-Hazard M9 Limited Edition Airsoft GBB Pistol. (With 3 extra magazines) The M9 is 3.3 lbs (1500 g). Evike doesn't show weight for the Burton M9 magazine. So we'll guess 1 lbs for three magazines. The box weight range should be 6.3 lbs to 8.3 lbs.
An Evike.com Custom AUG H-BAR Airsoft AEG Rifle with Integrated scope and bipod. Evike web page for this rifle shows 9.83 lbs (4300 g). Weight range for box is 11.83 to 13.83 lbs.
G&P Custom "Silver Bullet" M4 CQB Carbine. Evike web page for this rifle shows 5.38 lbs (2440 g). Weight range for box is 7.38 lbs to 9.38 lbs.
Matrix AEG Electric Powered AEG AK SVD Rifle with reinforced internal parts, metal receiver & Real Wood furniture. Evike web page for this rifle shows 7.72 lbs (3500 g). Weight range for box is 9.72 lbs to 11.72 lbs.
APS Full Metal M4 URX raptor Airsoft AEG EBB Rifle with APS newest hybrid quick spring change gearbox and 5 (FIVE) spare hi-cap magazines! Evike web page for this rifle shows 5.95 lbs (2700 g). Another web site claims that the D-Boys 300rd Hi-Cap M4/M16 Magazine weighs 0.44 lbs (200 g). So five magazines is 2.2 lbs. Weight range for box is 10.15 to 12.15 lbs.
So if I have to guess what my 13.1 lbs BOA contains, what would I guess?
The odds is 103 out of 269 boxes. I don't mind any of these three possibilities. Will I be disappointed? Let see if there is any truth to this analysis once I get my Box of Awesomeness.

There is a report of "12.1 lbs got the we m1911 and elite forve m4a1 carbine both tan" in the Evike customer comments. That seems to be the "Airsoft Better & Airsoft Right" Package 2, which was analyzed to be around around 13.7 lbs.

I have received my 13.1 lbs BOA yesterday. And it's an unexpected package, based on the shipping weight. It is the "APS Full Metal M4 URX raptor Airsoft AEG EBB Rifle with APS newest hybrid quick spring change gearbox and 5 (FIVE) spare hi-cap magazines!" package. In fact, the box did not include the Evike Coffee, but included a raincheck. The only bonus items in the box are the Evike Spork and M16 pen. The odds of winning this box is 50/269. See my Evike's Box of Awesomeness (470K Fan) Review. Looks like something is a little off in my weight analysis.

Here is another user comment report:
17.3 lbs box includes:
- H&K UMP Competition Series Airsoft AEG Rifle with metal gearbox by Umarex
- JG "B.A.M.F." Spec. Edition Full Metal M4
- 11th Anniversary Tee-L
So far, that's two "Airsoft Better & Airsoft Right" Package 1 in the 17 lbs range.

Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: Last night was a highly anticipated day, because Evike was, once again, going to sell its "Box of Awesomeness" (BOA) for the "Pre-Airsoftcon 470K Fan Celebration". The "Box of Awesomeness" was announced in an e-mail newsletter the day before and it was going to become available at 6:30 PM PST. There . . .
