Tasco Rimfire 4x 15mm Crosshair Reticle Riflescope on Airsoft Rifles

The Tasco Rimfire 4x 15mm Crosshair Reticle Riflescope was only $7 at Wal-mart. For $7, I can try this scope on my airsoft rifles to see if I can use my airsoft rifles for sniping on the battle field. But when I brought the scope home, its ring mounts aren't wide enough for the standard Picatinny Weaver rails on both of my airsoft rifles.

The Tasco Rimfire 4x 15mm Crosshair Reticle Riflescope is made for BB air rifle, not for airsoft guns. But I am really surprised that BB air rifles uses different standards than MIL-STD-1913 tactical rails.

The ring mounts seems to be made out of aluminum. Maybe it's bendable. Something that I'll have to try in the next few days.

With a strong set of pliers, I was able to bend the thinner side of the mount widercto fit the Picatinny Weaver rail. It now sits offset to one side as shown in photo below. Hopefully the windage adjustment can correct for that.

Photo below shows the Tasco Rimfire 4x 15mm Crosshair Reticle Riflescope on the Cyma CM023 MP5 airsoft submachine gun. With the shoulder stock in the position shown in the photo below, the distance of the eye to the scope is perfect when the cheek is resting on the stock. I haven't dialed it in yet. Need to wait for daylight this weekend.

I dialed the scope in today. The offset of the bended mounts and the riser on the MP5 required the extreme setting on the elevation and windage adjustment. This Tasco riflescope and the Cyma CM023 combination was quite accurate from 40 feet. I was able to hit a 2"x2"x2" box every time after the scope was dialed in.

The Tasco Rimfire 4x 15mm Crosshair Reticle Riflescope uses Dovetail mounts, not picatinny. So you'll need an adapter to mount it to Picatinny rails.
