I have seen sticky gel targets at the local Wal-Mart store. But I have always passed them by with a shrug. They are basically airsoft shooting targets with a sticky surface. After shooting it with your airsoft gun, the BB sticks to the surface and slowly rolls down the sticky surface, until it lands in the catching tray. For example, the picture to the right shows the Zombie Hunter Gel Target.
I have always passed the sticky gel targets by, because I couldn't think of a use for them. Well, I finally have today. And that is to use them to sight in your airsoft gun.
You see, with paper targets, it's always a chore to sight your gun. As you shoot and adjust the sight, the paper is slowly being blasted away. It's hard to tell where your BB has actually hit after the paper is covered with a few holes. Then it's time to walk up to the target and change the paper.
The sticky gel target solves that problem. You can shoot it as many times as you want. You see exactly where the BB sticks. You can sight your airsoft gun to your heart's content, never having to walk up to the target.
