When I first got into airsoft, I knew I wanted a red dot sight. But I had never handled firearms before and, therefore, never even touched a red dot sight before. I found three types on the market: 1) the head-up version; 2) the scope version; and 3) the holographic version. The last one was out of my price range, so I focused on the first two types.
However, I couldn't figure out the real theoretical and practical difference between the two types. As an uninitiated person with regards to red dot sights, I searched using the basic terminology that I know, "Red Dot Sight vs. Red Dot Scope", and got no real useful results.
Finally, I decided to purchase both types of sights and determine for myself, the real difference between the two. I decided to document the results in my "Reflex Sights: Head-Up vs. Scope" article for anyone new to red dot sights.
