Wolverine SMP Need An Air Tank?

I just learned about the Wolverine SMP. I heard people comparing it to PolerStar. Is thw Wolverine SMP technology completely new compared to PolarStar with respect to the compressed air tank? By that, I mean does the Wolverine SMP need an air tank?

Its web site is quite cryptic in that regard. It keeps taunting its new technology and mentioning HPA, but it doesn't say whether it uses an compressed air tank.
