While reviewing the APS ASR107 M4 URX Raptor, I found that the top rail on the quad rail handguard doesn't line up with the upper receiver rail (see photo below) when I tighten it.
What is proper method to align the top rails on the handguard and the receiver? Do you use washers to shim the quad rail and the receiver? Or do you simply glue the two pieces together in the right position?
I'm against gluing it, because I won't be able to take it apart then.

I just learned about crush washers for muzzle brake on a AR today. Wikipedia describes a crush washer: "Crush washers are made of a soft metal such as aluminium or copper and are used to seal fluid or gas connections such as those found in an internal combustion engine."
Doesn't really quite describe it for this purpose, but a crush washer is basically a washer that will "crush-in" as you tighten on it. You can use it to align a flash suppressor, a muzzle brake, or a quad-rail. So that's probably what I need to use to get this quad rail to line up to the receiver.
