Does Echo1 Red Star IGOR Use Version 7 Cylinder Head?

I finally took apart my Echo1 Red Star IGOR last night to upgrade it. It has a version 3 gearbox, but the cylinder head is not version 3. I have attached the photo below. Scouring the Internet, I noticed that it looks very similar to the veraion 7 cylinder head. I don't have a V7 cylinder head to compare. Does anyone know?

Not sure if you're still interested, or for anyone else with an echo 1 vss interested in this, but I saw your post and decided to buy a V7 cylinder head to try it out.

It does NOT fit. But there is hope. The nozzle position is exactly the same, so that's good. The problem is the sides of the cylinder head (where there are holes to fit into the gearbox) are too tall on a V7 to fit in the VSS's gearbox.

I am attempting to maybe mill down the sides of the V7 cylinder head to fit. Will update to let anyone interested if it works.

What do you mean the holes are "too tall"? Does that mean the gearbox pins, which goes into the holes, are slightly lower than where the holes are?

I've attached Evike's photo of a version 7 cylinder head to ease discussion.

I came across the Airsoft GI Custom VSS Interloper AEG Airsoft Gun (Black Card Custom). In this custom sniper build, the modified parts list includes a "Magic Box CNC Aluminum M14 AEG Cylinder Head". The M14 is based on a version 7 gearbox. So I guess that solves the mystery of which cylinder head the Echo1 Red Star IGOR uses.
