There are two possibilities when you pull the trigger and the airsoft electronic gun (AEG) makes a clicking noise. It's a faint noise, so if you don't listen carefully, you might actually think that the AEG is silent when you pull the trigger.
Possibility 1: The battery is low on power. The clicking noise means the battery is turning the motor; as the motor turns, the pinion gear on the motor hits the next gear, making the clicking sound. But the battery doesn't have enough power to wind the gears. Try charging the battery up, or try a different battery (battery may be too old and died). That usually fixes the problem.
Possibility 2: The main spring in the gearbox is too strong. This possibility can only occur if this problem surfaced after you upgraded to the main spring to a stronger spring. Same as previously, the motor gear hits the next gear, but there is not enough power to pull the stronger spring back. There are a lot of solutions in this case... reduce the spring rate, upgrade to high torque motor, upgrade to high torque gear set, etc.
