We were really disappointed with SC Village tonight. Our crew had planned to play there for two weeks. The SC Village web site lists their Friday operation hours for airsoft from 5 PM to 10 PM. We even called them the day before to ensure they were going to run airsoft games tonight. After confirming with them on the phone, we got ourselves packed.
Tonight, we got to SC Village at around 6 PM. The girl at the counter said they had only two other airsoft players showed up earlier, but left, because SC Village needed a minimum of 10 players to run airsoft games. They said we can wait to see if more players showed up.
That was a shocker, because we were there several weeks ago for an airsoft night game and we started with 3 on 3. The last time I checked, three plus three did not make ten.
They said that if there are ten players that show up later, they will run it. That meant the referee(s) were already there to run the games. Weren't the referee(s) being paid anyway? Or are they just volunteering? But either way, they were there, working tonight.
It really sucked that SC Village didn't tell us this rule over the phone. We drove 36.9 miles, in traffic, to get to SC Village. Maybe, they didn't want us to not come out. But really!? They turned us away after driving an hour?
We ended up playing at Insight Interactive's indoor CQB field on the way back home. Because of this SC Village "detour", we got to Insight Interactive late (8 PM). And since the airsoft rifles I brought were 400 FPS, I had to go pistol-only at the indoor CQB field. But we still have a great time at Insight.
Next time, we'll have to go to an airsoft field that provides a guarantee. Obviously, SC Village doesn't provides this kind of guarantee and it rather turn customers away.

Title: SC Village Airsoft Park Review
Weblog: Airsoft SpecOps
Excerpt: SC Village is an outdoor paintball and airsoft facility located in the Corona/Chino area. I have played paintball there once last year. After playing airsoft at the facility last Friday night, I feel I'm familiar with it enough to write a review about this facility. In this review, I will only focus . . .
