Over this past month, we have developed several science fiction airsoft muzzle devices. However, we could not release them to the public, because we have to prototype the screw interface dimension to ensure they can screw onto the standard 14mm airsoft external barrel.
It takes almost a month from our design to go through processing for the 3D printer, get 3D printed, and shipped back to us. So picking the right part to prototype is critical to get our ideas into the airsoft community.
Our first prototype is the TriCurve Barrel Tip (see photo below). And it is a great success. The interface dimension is spot on and we are able to screw it onto several airsoft external barrels without any problems.
This success is one giant step for all of our airsoft muzzle tips. By using the same 14mm interface on all of our muzzle tips, we will not have to wait for the month-long design/prototype cycle. We can go immediately into production, because we have already tested the 14mm interface. That means the airsoft community will have lots and lots of new flash hiders, mock silencers, muzzle brakes, concussion reduction devices, and other muzzle devices to choose from shortly.
The future shines brightly for us airsofters.
